A wind of change is blowing

And in that wind waves the pirate flag.
What I'm talking about is the newly formed Piracy Party here in Sweden. Speaking for a radical change of the political system and aiming at getting enough votes to be in the Swedish parliment, this is a party I like. There's no doubt about it, removing all the immaterial laws will bring great changes. But don't think this will happen over night, as the impression might be, it will of course be a slow change for the better, assuming everything goes as planned.
Another important question is privacy. There will, among other things, not exist any kind of data gathering, or recording of internet traffic and such. Today we're almost heading in the direction of a society where no anonymous communication is allowed to exist. This cannot be allowed to happen.
The party is still very fresh, so please, don't expect everything to be like one of the established parties just yet. It will take some time, but after a while, I think people will realize that this is serious.
I'll be voting for the first time later this year... maybe they'll get my vote. It's definitely possible.
Right now about 1 million of the Swedish population are criminals due to downloading warez from the internets. These laws have been passed during quite undemocratic circumstances. Now here's a democratic way to do change stuff, and I believe many will use this way.
Here is info from
other sites.
And from other blogs. In Swedish though.
