Blank

I don't have anything to write. I want to write about what I think, not just what I do, but right now, that's almost impossible. The short moments I have contact with the real world is not quite enough. I guess I'll have to chill with writing for some time, unless I come up with something really good to write about.

While waiting you can always buy and play Grim Fandango, one of the greatest games of all time, if not the greatest. It's hard to describe, but this game is so fantastic, you are not a whole person until you've completed it. Go now.

A short break

I made it! I got back alive! I managed to keep myself going for the entire massive period of seven days in field. Six nights in a tent in a forest. During a few of the night the temperature was a cozy -20 degrees celcius. And during those nights I had to get up and act sentry several times. I love it.

Once, when sitting in a tent I really didn't have anything to do, so I wrote down some words. I did the same thing later, in my armoured terrain vehicle, and here they are:

"Click" my Ak5 said when I squeezed the trigger. I guess it's still working. I'm
not freezing right now, but my fingers are a bit cold here in the tent. What am
I doing here? What's a calm and relaxed games doing in the field, dressed in a
green uniform and boots, carrying a weapon? Why does a guy who loves to sleep
get up at half past five to put on a body armor, combat vest, and a helmet? What
am I doing here?

Jan 22
Sunday. Heard pieces of a service on the radio in my terrain vehicle. I
havn't been to church for quite some time now. I miss it. Only one night left
though. Tomorrow I'm finally going home. Well, not home but back to a place
where I can sleep in a real bed, where I can shower and watch TV. And where I
can order pizza... Anyway, we're in the middle of a big MOUT-operation. MOUT -
Military Operations in Urban Terrain - Is kind of cool. Pretty many people get
hurt though, so I and my fellow medic crew are assisting X-ray companyin
supporting the fighting companies. So far we've only taken care of one injured,
an enemy soldier. don't mind doing this though, I finally get to practice
what I've trained. The prvious six dayd all I've done is helping the food and
supply groups in my plutoon, realocating our camp and carrying stuff forth and
back. It seriously sucked.

Only two and a helf months left now. Please speed up time, let the real
life begin...

Only two times left in the field now though. One for eight days, and one for ten. ... I think I'll make it, but it sure will be harsh. Keep the date 12:th of april in mind, for that is the day the angels will sing and flowers bloom, and I will be free.

In other news... hmm. There are no other news. The military is all I do right now. It's all I say and eat, it's how I walk and what I do. I don't really have a life right now. I'm not sad about it, I am after all doing something that I probably will look back at with some sort of satisfaction, but it would be nice to be able to talk to people at home about things that does not include green clothes. You kind of get cut off from the outer would, more or less. When in field you seriously get cut off, I managed to get hold of a few newspapers, but other than that I really don't know much about what's happening out there. Bear that in mind if you wish to get in. Eleven months...

This is the hour of DOOM!

I completely love that word. DOOM. Capital letters. Try saying it with as much power as you can, really exploding on the D, gathering strength to float on the OO and finally breathing out on the M. DOOOM! Hehe.

Unfortunately, this is actually the hour of DOOM. This is the last hour on my computer before I leave once more. Back to the cold and the very early mornings, the weapons and the heavy gear, the running and the push-upping. Back to the lack of sleep and good food, back to the snow and the mud.

Please, make these last three months go quickly. Very quickly. The graduation is within range.

However, there is one good side to it after all. Right now I'm checking the internets every day, or several times a day. Things seem to progress so very slowly. Like the site of the Pirate Party, that I mentioned, and also the whole organization around it. When I get back the next time, in three weeks, a lot of stuff is bound to have happened. And I'll be reading updated webcomics until my eyes bleed. I think I'm going to have to isolate myself that entire weekend in fact.

In other news I bought StarCraft. Teh ownage. I'm up for a mp match anytime. When I'm home that is.

A wind of change is blowing

And in that wind waves the pirate flag.
What I'm talking about is the newly formed Piracy Party here in Sweden. Speaking for a radical change of the political system and aiming at getting enough votes to be in the Swedish parliment, this is a party I like. There's no doubt about it, removing all the immaterial laws will bring great changes. But don't think this will happen over night, as the impression might be, it will of course be a slow change for the better, assuming everything goes as planned.
Another important question is privacy. There will, among other things, not exist any kind of data gathering, or recording of internet traffic and such. Today we're almost heading in the direction of a society where no anonymous communication is allowed to exist. This cannot be allowed to happen.
The party is still very fresh, so please, don't expect everything to be like one of the established parties just yet. It will take some time, but after a while, I think people will realize that this is serious.
I'll be voting for the first time later this year... maybe they'll get my vote. It's definitely possible.
Right now about 1 million of the Swedish population are criminals due to downloading warez from the internets. These laws have been passed during quite undemocratic circumstances. Now here's a democratic way to do change stuff, and I believe many will use this way.
Here is info from
other sites.
And from other blogs. In Swedish though.
